The Village
North Newbald is situated between South Cave and Sancton, in the popular area of the Yorkshire Wolds. The village church, St Nicholas’, also known as the Cathedral of the Wolds, dates back to 1140AD is considered to be the most complete Norman Church in the East Riding.
North Newbald
The village is a peaceful place to be and is a favourite for many walkers and cyclists, young and old. You can literally walk out of our front door and be on the Wolds Way in a few minutes.
Pubs & Grub
We are lucky enough to boast two pubs within 50 yards, named The Gnu and The Tiger. Both serve excellent food and feature many local craft ales.
Posh Beck
There is an open beck which runs in front of the houses on Eastgate, each have their own private bridge.
Summer Fun
Every summer the villagers hold a summer gala which is normally held in July when there are competitions, activities, clown shows amongst other things.
